How to install your feather hair extension using a Needle Tool
How do I care for my feather hair extension?
It is safe to wash, dry, curl or flat iron your feather hair extension just like your normal hair. When curling or flat ironing your feathers, make sure you have a section of hair covering the feathers on the top and bottom so they don’t burn. Use extra care when brushing the hair around the feathers. If your extension is on a removable clip, you can hand wash it in a sink full of warm water and shampoo or dish soap then let it air dry.
How long will it last?
Your extension will last 1-3 months, depending on how fast your hair grows out and how well you care for your extension. You can re-install your extension with a new micro bead if your hair has grown out.
How do I install my extension?

What if my feathers come out of the bundle?
The feathers are only bundled together to make it easier to install. You can simply ad the feather back into the bead before crimping. Just make sure you have the tip of all of the feathers sticking out past the top of the micro bead before you crimp it shut. You can trim off any excess feather after it is installed.
Can I separate the feathers?
Yes, you can. Just make sure you have the tip of the feather sticking out past the top of the micro bead before you crimp it shut.
Can I shorten the feathers or pull the fluffy part off?
Yes. If bundled, take the feathers apart. Trim each feather from the top, not the bottom. Then simply pull about a half inch of the feather away from the quill. Gather all of the feather tips together before inserting them into the bead.
What if the clear part of my bead fell out?
Simply insert the clear or silicone part of the bead back inside before using. This will help protect the hair from any damage while the bead is in. If you lost the clear liner, you can still use the bead or order a new bead from my shop.
How do I un-install my feather extension?
Take a pliers and uncrimp the bead from the sides to open it up. Then simply slide the feathers and your hair out of the bead. Do not reuse the bead. It will not hold the hair tight enough and you will lose your extension.
How to I get more beads?
If you mess up the installation of the first bead or want to re-install your extension after it has grown out, you can order additional micro beads from my etsy store or email me directly. ***Please specify brown or blonde when ordering.***
